I told her she isn't married to her dad, and she should ask her mom and dad what it means, but not to say that to other kids because they won't understand what she means, but that the other kid was wrong to tell her that her dad is going to jail.

My 7 year old boy student called her sick, and said he was calling the police and having her dad put in jail, and she started crying.

My experience has been with older kids, but now I work with ones as little as babies up to 9. My 5 year old girl student was playing and they were talking about marriage, and she told the kids she was married to her dad.
