My family and my husbands family are highly dysfunctional with lots of favoritism, blaming, shaming etc.

They keep writing messages to the invited group urging everyone to say if they're coming or not - the irony.. When my brother and I graduated, we had 6 people in our close family say - oh I never got an invitation.

Similar situation, other family members didn't go, didn't acknowledge us or congratulate us - didn't even send back an RSVP card, but now that they're having a child EXPECT us to come to their baby shower and RSVP through Facebook.
