I knew he was going to pull out a surprise gift

I watched my kids open their gifts, snapped pictures of their excited faces, made a big breakfast feast and I waited. Inwardly, I felt like such an ungrateful brat. He was doing exactly what I told him, but the problem was I still had expectations. There are expectations with Christmas.

If they talk to my dad with my mom there my husband will be furious . But if I Dodge my dad they'll think my husband is controlling which they already do even though all he wants is my mom to have extremely limited contact with her until she changes.
